50th Anniversary

Uncle Woody and Aunt JoAnn celebrate 50 years of marriage this year.

Being married 50 years is no small feat and each should be celebrated, but especially when all the glory goes to God.

Uncle Woody is one of my mom's older brothers - one of the two she grew up with close to in age. Her brother's given name is Garwood - hence the nickname. He got married young to JoAnn so she was always kind of like an extra sister to mom. My mother adores them both dearly. Mom tells us great stories of her brothers Gene and Woody getting into her Mom's lovely assorted pastel divinity and mixing the batches to turn them all grey!
