This entry is dedicated to cousin Aaron and his request for more pictures.
Zeb was 6 months old on Valentine's Day. Happy 6th month birthday and here are more shots for you! :| He is 16 lbs 14 oz and 26.5" long. He still only has his two bottom teeth but is refusing to eat any more than 3-4 oz of bottles he normally eats 8 oz of. Assuming he's teething again.

He has now added his legs to his creeping so he uses his arms and pushes and kicks a little with his legs. He sometimes “crawls” on all fours but doesn’t look perfectly coordinated yet – he’s still exploring and trying different methods. His arms are definitely stronger now. He can crawl on the floors anywhere.
I may have made the mistake of showing him how to grab onto some toys while standing outside the exersaucer to balance while standing. Now he keeps trying to pull up on things. He doesn’t quite have the arm strength for that and hasn’t figured to use his legs to push himself up yet. He likes trying though! It is a fun game for him.
I left him playing on his tummy on his playmat in our living room to step outside and get the mail right beside our front door and came back to find this!
He had pulled himself up into the kneeling position on his bouncy!
Mark was alone with Zeb for a few hours one evening and the next day all Zeb would say was, “Da Da Da Da Da Da”. I accused Mark of teaching him to say it, but he didn’t. Once again, Zeb learns something new and practice, practice, practice! I don’t think he quite knows who or what DaDa is, but we look at pictures or I’ll tell him DaDa loves him very much if he says it when Mark is not around. I’ve tried to get him to go back to saying, “Mmmmm” but he is more interested in the Da sound right now. I’ve tried teaching him Bbb and Ball and he just laughs hysterically when I say that sound. He is trying to imitate sounds and facial expressions more by studying your face. It is funny to see him screwing his face up in all sorts of weird expressions to try to make sounds or look like you. He doesn’t know what to do with his tongue to make most sounds though.

Humorous Timing : Zeb and I were sitting and playing on the floor on a sunny Saturday morning in our living room. He saw something darker colored on the floor and it was moving, although it still looked like the rest of the floor. He kept moving and then he would see it out of the corner of his eye so turn to stare at it and it wouldn’t move as much. He discovered his shadow – on Groundhog’s Day!!!! He wasn’t scared of it just was interested and wanted to look at the movement and the changing colors – my perspective anyway.

Zeb still really likes jumping in his swing. I have found him quite a few times now looking at all the warning label tags (That's My Boy!!!!) in his swing as if they were a book (they were too hard to rip out and may have been sharp after cutting them out). I saw him reading this “book” and snuck up on him with the camera. He acted all embarrassed and got this really big smile, which I adore. You can still kind of see his fingers on the book and you can also see his two bottom front teeth a little too!
Reading a Book – Zeb doesn’t REALLY read books by himself yet.

If you are reading a book to him he will grab the sides of it like you are holding it – imitating you. I think he likes to do things himself and try to look like the grownups around him. If you have books on the floor with his other toys, he will often choose books over toys. He will hold them for awhile and then of course tries to eat them – so we put them away or assist him in reading.
Aaron, I'll try to get him eating again so he'll be fat enough for you to legitimately poke him and teach him the
Pillsbury Dough Boy sound.
