It's long overdue but it's time for another quick Baby Z update - Excuses: VBS, catching up on organizing and cleaning, blah, blah, blah.
Biggest News for family - Sorry since you guys live so far away you are often the last to know and see - Baby Z is walking!
When we visited TX family in May, Baby Z's Great Aunt Barbara saw him doing something and said he would be walking in 3-4 weeks. I was hoping it might be slightly more delayed than that - to put timing after VBS - but she was right on target! He was definitely walking during VBS. He probably also had fun trying to keep up with this little girl!
I guess being a first-time parent I find it incredible to see how quickly some of the skills progress. In Z's case, walking. It's hard to know when to say your child is walking - they can take an extraneous step here and there but if not doing it consecutively??? I guess the earlier steps can just be called "first steps."
June 10th - walking around Living room and cutting corners - taking 1-2 steps on own
June 16th - a few more steps in between supportive grabs and standing longer on his own
Don't have a video of it but June 22nd - Baby Z let go of furniture and walked towards his Dada - of course when Mommy wasn't around! I'm glad Dada got to see this "first" though!
June 30th - At the end of VBS week - up to taking 7-8 steps on his own
Yesterday - running around the Dining room, living room, office area like a crazy person!!!!
Note from Z to Uncle Will - I may not have beat or met your age when first walking, but I probably look better doing it!
You should see what he's doing now! Gotta Go!

Cousin Aaron says "That's awesome. He's funny." Uncle Brian says "Hope you can keep up. Shouldn't be long til he's ready for golf clubs." Big kisses and congratulations from Aunt Donn.
Muah!
I love the strategic placement of the furniture so Zeb can't escape.
I am not sure if you remember me, but I went to RBC as a youth and quit going after the birth of my son, Dylan. I found your blog through Meredith's blog that I found through facebook. I am glad to see that you finally got the baby you deserve. Congratulations, Zeb is beautiful.

Fun to watch Zeb's progression from surfing the furniture to walking! Doesn't take long does it?
