'Head-Banging' to A Mighty Fortress

Baby Z started doing this everytime this song started playing on our CD player in the kitchen. I wanted to get it on video before he stopped. Not sure why he started this but it is funny none the less to me. This was the second time he did it THAT morning - the first was that morning right before I grabbed my camera. He wasn't cued - he started on his own when the music did - he was too busy asking for more cheerios right before the music started.

"A Mighty Fortress Is Our God" is the best known of Martin Luther's hymns. Luther wrote the words and composed the melody sometime between 1527-1529. It has been translated into English at least seventy times and also into many other languages.The words are a paraphrase of Psalm 46.

Lyrics are:
  1. A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing;
    Our helper He, amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing:
    For still our ancient foe doth seek to work us woe;
    His craft and pow’r are great, and, armed with cruel hate,
    On earth is not his equal.
  2. Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing,
    Were not the right Man on our side, the Man of God’s own choosing:
    Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is He;
    Lord Sabaoth, His Name, from age to age the same,
    And He must win the battle.
  3. And though this world, with devils filled, should threaten to undo us,
    We will not fear, for God hath willed His truth to triumph through us;
    The Prince of Darkness grim, we tremble not for him;
    His rage we can endure, for lo, his doom is sure,
    One little word shall fell him.
  4. That word above all earthly pow’rs, no thanks to them, abideth;
    The Spirit and the gifts are ours through Him Who with us sideth;
    Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also;
    The body they may kill: God’s truth abideth still,
    His kingdom is forever.

that is the gentle-ist head banging i've ever seen. he looks like he is conducting the song, just w/his head instead if sticks in his hands.

Almost looks like he's moving his head as if he is "singing". (Like he might see you do.) My neck still hurts from the 80's! Easy does it youngster. --Auntie
