Amen

John MacArthur has started a series on "Why I Love the Church" over at his "Pulpit" blog which begins with an introduction which I think hits a nerve. It certainly resonated with me. I've personally for many years have yearned for a more reverent approach to God's Church within protestantism which I've suspected is in response to my misgivings toward the seeker-sensitive church approach. From my repertoire of blog reading over the last few years it seems many others feel the same way. I suspect this desire for a more reverent approach to church may also be a component driving the renewed interest in the Reformation. For more on that topic begin reading the series of posts (follow this link) by Mark Dever over at 9Marks new "Church Matters" blog.
